It is not possible to determine the quality based on the appearance of a cable. But how do you determine the quality of a fiber optic patch cable?

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has defined different quality levels. Grade A to Grade C. Grade A gives you the best quality of fibers and connectors. For professional applications where reliability is paramount, we recommend Grade A.
